Selena Gomez revealed her battle with mental health and eventual bipolar disorder diagnosis in a documentary. In that feature, she has openly discussed her struggles with anxiety, depression, the autoimmune disease lupus. She’s such a staunch advocate that she has even won an an award for bringing awareness to mental health, called the Morton E. Ruderman Award in Inclusion. "I've been open and honest about my own journey with my mental health, and it hasn't always been easy, but it's something that I am constantly working on," Gomez said while accepting her award from the Ruderman Family Foundation. Sraddha Kapoor — Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor spoke about how anxiety and depression crippled her. 'I didn’t even know what anxiety was. We didn’t know it for a very long time. It was just after Aashiqui that I had this physical manifestation of anxiety. There’s this pain happening where there was no physiological diagnosis. We got so many tests done but there was nothing wrong with me in the doctor’s report. It’s bizarre because I kept thinking about why I was getting that pain. Dwayne Johnson — Another influential figure is actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who has openly discussed his battle with depression. He shared his personal journey to encourage others to seek help and never feel ashamed of their mental health challenges. The Hollywood actor and former WWE star went public in 2018. “Struggle and pain is real. I was devastated and depressed. I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. Top Bollywood producer, director, and chat show host Karan Johar opened up about his battle with depression and anxiety for more than a year.
