UAE resident makes fastest dive with wheelchair in new Guinness World Record

Dubai: A UAE resident has set a Guinness World Record for the fastest dive using an underwater wheelchair, crossing the 400-meter distance inside the Dubai Aquarium in Underwater Zoo in Dubai Mall in 37 minutes. Faisal Al Mosawi covered the feat in eight rounds, back and forth.

Al Mosawi said the “achievement is a testament to the power of perseverance and the limitless potential of the human spirit. I am immensely proud, once again, to demonstrate the capabilities of adaptive sports. This record is not just mine; it belongs to every individual who refuses to be defined by limitations”.

He expressed his gratitude to his family members and for his team who helped him in the training and preparation phase. Al Mosawi also thanked sponsors and supporters.

The preparation period for the record took four months, which Al Mosawi spent training in physical fitness, swimming, and diving. The event, held on Friday, which was attended by visitors to Dubai Mall. It was held in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council and organised by OMNES Influencers.
