Team Jalal Abbasi & Marwan Al Emadi win first UAE Monthly Match of season
EGF has announced series of events to attract bigger fields with more community engagement
The Emirates Golf Federation are breaking further ground in the world of golf by announcing a brand new series of tournaments labeled, the 'United Arab Emirates (UAE) Monthly Match '.
With the support of eGolf Megastore the opening event of the 2023-2024 season got underway last weekend at Al Zorah Golf Club in Ajman with the goal being to attract bigger fields and have more community engagement.
Open to all EGF Direct Members, the first Monthly Match of the season was a pairs betterball stableford format and went the way of Jalal Abbasi and Marwan Al Emadi who took the spoils with 46 stableford points around the par 72, Nicklaus Design group course.
UAE National Junior Golf Team member, Al Emadi, commented on the success of the first event, “Thank you to my coaches for helping me with my training and always supporting me. It’s nice to see my work payoff”.
In second spot were EGF Direct Members, Harry Silvester and his playing partner Christopher Page with 43 points. Just pipping Hassan Al Qemzi and Omar Thabit via countback, as they had to settle for third. While Rashed Al Jarwan and Ahmed Al Blooshi were in fourth place.
